past
the arts festival centre. another
of the ubiquitous black swans on
the opposite bank is the Adelaide Oval,
where local hero Donald Bradman
played some of his finest innings.
The
central station is made of sandstone, which is typical of many of Adelaide's
buildings.
Victoria Square is in the centre of city and
contains
several
administrative buildings
a
fountain
and
it's also the place to catch the tram to Glenelg.
Glenelg Glenelg is a pretty seaside town with a popular beach.
At
the tram stop we met Yvonne and Donna We
had a stroll around the marina
and
along the jetty. Later at Yvonne and David's look
who was cooking the barbie?
Mike
& Kate The following day we met some of my other cousins. Mike and
Debbie took us out for the day. As you can see once again it was bright
and sunny.
Up
in the hills at Mount Lofty was a very pleasant place for lunch.
Great
views over the sea to Kangaroo Island,
On
our way back we stopped off for a short walk around this pretty waterfall. Then
it was back to Mike and Debbie's for tea and to meet Kate and the rest of the
family. Great
to meet you all and thanks again for taking us out and showing us a good time!
From Adelaide we then spent a week in Sydney.
See the photos from the rest of our travels around Singapore
and Australia.
