On 17 March, Saint Patrick's Day we went to the Stade de France to watch
Scotland play against France in the 6 Nations rugby tournament.
We caught a boat near the Eiffel Tower to take us to the match.
Breakfast of pancakes and waffles was served on board
whilst we cruised along the Seine

past the Musée d'Orsay,
under one of the most attractive bridges in Paris, the Pont Alexandre III near
Invalides

and past the Statue of Liberty, which is a smaller replica of
the one in New York, (see the photos
of our visit in 2006)

The musicians played some Irish songs on Saint Patrick's Day

John and Des enjoyed the pre-match atmosphere.
Soon we approached the locks on the Canal Saint-Denis

and then we were in the Stade de France ready for kick off.
See the photos from the 2006 Six Nations match
France v Ireland.
