In February we watched the 6 Nations France / Ireland rugby match at the Stade
de France in Paris.

Instead of travelling to the stadium by RER or metro we decided to take an
early morning cruise along the canal and our friends Helen and Bernie joined us.
A delicious breakfast was served on arrival.

Then we weighed anchor and set off on a leisurely cruise around Paris,

which looked beautiful without any other tourist boats around.

Passing The Louvre on our right
An Irish folk band kept us entertained along the way.

As we passed through the locks Ken gave a big cheer to signal that the bar
had just opened!

Soon we arrived at the Stade de France

The rugby fans gathered together ready to watch the match.

In the stadium the teams arrived on the pitch

and the match kicked off.

A great day was had by all.
