In September John and I travelled around Canada.  After starting our trip in Montreal we then moved onto Ottawa for a few days and attended Bob and Christine's wedding.

Ottawa is the capital of Canada, however it is quite a small city making it very easy to explore and walk around.

We walked up the hill past the Museum of Contemporary Photography

towards Parliament Hill

It all looks rather familiar doesn't it? 

The House of Commons, the library and other government offices surround the green.

Across from Parliament Hill is the Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica

and to make me really feel at home look what we found on Elgin Street.
