During our holiday in the Loire Valley we visited the
Château de Cheverny. It's not far by bus from Blois, where we were staying.
The château was built in the seventeenth century. Inside there is a
rich display of furniture, tapestries, paintings and armour.

The owner likes taking his horses and hounds out hunting.

Feeding the hounds

The trophy room is full of antlers and stag heads - rather revolting
actually!
Then we travelled further along the Loire River and spent several days in
Tours.
