John and I went on holiday to Canada in the Autumn. After leaving Ottawa we visited Edmonton and took the train to Jasper in the Rocky Mountains.

Edmonton is full of high rise buildings and a vast network of underground shops, offices and malls. 

The West Edmonton Mall is apparently the largest shopping centre in the world.

containing cinemas, a casino, an ice rink, swimming pool 

and underwater adventures aboard a submarine.

The Odyssium Science and Space Museum was very interesting and very interactive.

Then we caught the VIA Rail Train to Jasper in the Rocky Mountains.

The train journeyed through the mountains passing some quite spectacular scenery.

As it was Autumn we saw some stunning colours as the leaves turned varying shades of red and yellow.
