We spent a weekend break in Zagreb in Croatia and enjoyed exploring the historic Upper Town and the lively Lower Town.
We also dined at some fabulous restaurants.
Zagreb
Zagreb is divided between the historic Upper Town, with its cobbled streets and medieval landmarks, and the lively Lower Town, known for its grand buildings, parks, and bustling cafés.
Ban Jelačić Square is the lively central square of Zagreb, lined with shops and cafés.

Upper Town
Stone Gate dates from the 13th century and was once the main entrance to Upper Town. There is a small chapel.
St Mark's Church, a striking medieval church famous for its colourful tiled roof.
Lower town dates mainly from the 19th century and is known for its grand Austro-Hungarian architecture, leafy parks, museums, and vibrant cafés.
