In August our friends, Ellie and Jo came to visit us in Paris.

This was their first trip to Paris, so the girls wanted to see lots of the
famous tourist sights in this wonderful city,
and what better way to begin than to sail along the Seine.

Louvre Museum

the Conciergerie.

The Eiffel Tower was a must do experience.

On the second floor of the Tower

On the first floor

One afternoon we walked through the Tuileries Gardens to the Louvre and its
glass pyramids.

Palais Royale

Nearby is the Palais Royale with its unusual black and white Buren columns
and formal gardens.

The Notre Dame Cathedral in the heart of the city.

Outside the Pompidou Centre
Montmartre
On the last evening in Paris we visited the village of Montmartre with its
striking Sacre Coeur church dominating the skyline.

We dined at Le Moulin de la Galette, an old windmill that has been converted
into a popular restaurant.

A final glimpse of the Eiffel Tower sparkling at night.
See other holidays in Paris and around the world.
