John and I holidayed in the Baltic region in Helsinki and Tallinn in August.

Our trip began in Helsinki, Finland.

We strolled along the harbour 

past the beautiful buildings

and the little fishing boats selling that morning's catch

Water, water everywhere. 

Even in the city centre we discovered lakes and fountains.

Helsinki has a lot of churches to suit many tastes.

For example

There's the traditional Scandinavian kirk,

the splendid Lutheran Cathedral in Senate Square

and the amazing Russian Orthodox Uspenski Cathedral.

Follow us as we catch a boat across the sea to Tallinn, Estonia.
