At Easter John and I joined the Electric Eels volleyball team and took part in the 24 hour volleyball competition held annually at Malonne in Belgium.

La Meulerie

This time instead of staying in the centre of Namur,

we rented an old mill house in the countryside called La Meulerie.  

The water wheels still worked

and inside there was an original millstone.  As you can see there was plenty of room for all the team.

Volleyball matches

We played our usual slots of midnight till 3am and then the following afternoon from midday till 3 pm.

We won some and we lost some, but we all had a good time..

In between matches we followed the action on the other courts.

On the middle court the Leeds team were playing very well.

After all the excitement it was time for chips and beer.

Mons

On our journey back to Paris we stopped off for a quick look around Mons.

It's an old city near the French border full of churches and chapels.

This is the belfry

and just round the corner is the Hotel de Ville on the main square.
