The British Council Christmas party had a Spanish theme this year and took place in a lively restaurant in the 11th arrondissement called El Prado.

We settled down at our table 

to a fine meal starting with tortilla de patata and calamares

followed by paella

and fruit cocktail.

Accompanied of course by several bottles of Rioja

Then the show began.

The musicians were great

and it wasn't long before toes started tapping and David led the way to the dance floor.

"we're out together dancing cheek to cheek"

The music bumped up a beat.

How does this work, then?

and sometime deep into the night some crazy party goer starts a Conga Line!
