Spring holiday in Santorini, the unique crescent shaped Greek island.
Over two thousand years ago a huge volcanic eruption caused the middle of
Santorini to collapse into the sea
leaving a steep edged crater known as a caldera peeping above the water. The
spectacular views attract many visitors.
Pretty whitewashed villages with blue domed churches perch on top of the
caldera rim overlooking the Aegean.
Boat trip around the caldera and islands.
Hot volcanic springs
Walk up to one of the craters.
Red beach
Lunch at the seaside
Panoramic view of the caldera from our hotel balcony as we watched the sun
setting on Santorini.
Santorini is renowned for its beautiful sunsets.
