In February we watched the 6 Nations France / Ireland rugby match at the Stade de France in Paris.

Our Parisian cruise boat La Guepe Buissonniere

Instead of travelling to the stadium by RER or metro we decided to take an early morning cruise along the canal and our friends Helen and Bernie joined us.

A delicious breakfast was served on arrival.

Then we weighed anchor and set off on a leisurely cruise around Paris,

An Irish folk band kept us entertained along the way.

"I've been a wild rover for many a year"

We travelled through the locks along the canal through Suresnes

As we passed through the locks Ken gave a big cheer to signal that the bar had just opened!

"The bar's open" declares Ken

Soon we arrived at the Stade de France

The rugby fans gathered together ready to watch the match.
