On display at the London Transport Museum were underground trains, buses and trams from the 1930s to the modern day.

The archive contains nearly 1000 original paintings, which were later transformed into posters.

In the early 20th century, London Transport commissioned work from the best artists and designers in the country and there are over 5000 posters in the collection.

Man Ray was one of the famous artists who designed posters for London Transport.

In 1938 Mark Fernand Severin commissed "Supper" and

                                                                                       "On the Way Home' .
