Isle of Man Dhoon Glen

Dhoon Glen is my favourite glen on the Isle of Man.  It's approximately 5 miles south of Ramsey and is easy to reach by car, bus and the Manx Electric Railway.

In June 2004 John and I decided to visit this very pretty glen.

We took the path behind the tram stop and cafe through the woodland.

The path follows the streams down to the sea passing waterfalls along the way.

The waterfalls make this glen one of the most beautiful on the island.

It's quite a steep climb in places, so we were quite pleased when we caught our first glimpse of the sea.

we walked along the pebble stone beach and scrambled over the rocks

to watch the boats idly sail along the bay.
