In March and April John and I had a fabulous holiday in Singapore and travelling around Australia.

After visiting Perth we moved further south to the seaside resort of Fremantle, or "Freo" as it is affectionately known as by the locals and visited Cottesloe Beach.

Fremantle

We stayed at the Esplanade Hotel, a lovely building situated near the harbour dating from the 1800s.

Cottesloe Beach

This popular beach was highly recommended to us by our friend, Phil, who used to spend his afternoons here.

We had a dip in the Indian Ocean .
