John often has to pop across the pond to work in Chicago.

While John was busy earning a crust I was free to explore the city.

Even though the sun was shining I was definitely in the Windy city

On Saturday John took me to the Navy Pier

Then back into down town Chicago and cross the Chicago River

 

I'm getting used to seeing these massive skyscrapers now, but I still stop to take some photos.

There is some culture - you just have to search a bit harder

 

Then we head back to our apartment on North Michigan Ave for a nice cuppa tea!.
